Three Days That Move the City

The Mexico City Grand Prix lasts three days, but its impact is measured all year. The 2025 edition left a total economic spillover of MXN $19.84 billion in the country, according to the study México GP released on April 28, 2026, prepared by AECOM and Formula Money.
Of that total, MXN $6.715 billion is direct economic impact and MXN $13.125 billion is the value of media exposure. The event generated 10,649 jobs and MXN $1.13 billion in wages.
Spending by attendees outside the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez — on hotels, restaurants and transport — came to MXN $3.41 billion. That weekend, 401,326 people came through the gates over three days; 153,867 of them on race Sunday. Since 2015, the cumulative spillover totals MXN $157.594 billion.
The city kept its own books: Mexico City’s government estimated, on October 28, 2025, a spillover of MXN $20 billion, and the local Tourism Ministry reported that more than 20,000 people visited its pavilions over the weekend.
Demand for 2026 confirms the appetite. México GP announced on November 14, 2025, that tickets were sold out across pre-sale, early sale and general sale; ESPN reported they went in four days. Official prices ran from MXN $3,900 to $61,750, according to ESPN and El Economista. Holders can buy First Option Rights to keep their seat for 2027 and 2028.
The race returns October 30 to November 1.
