La Catrina 💀🌼 Around 1910, José Guadalupe Posada engraved La Garbancera, an elegant skull mocking those who denied their roots. In 1947, Diego Rivera dressed her in finery and called her Catrina. Today she fills altars, parades and cemeteries all over Mexico.
